The practicality of it may be limited, but connecting the drive of an amp to the pitch controller can produce some pretty cool results. With a well tuned modifier curve, you can play clean chords (with the pitch detector locking on the root), and then move up for an overdriven lead phrase. It's also cool watching the controller graph to admire the Axe Fx's LCD's high refresh rate
