pitch block bliss

When a singer tells you he's bringing another guitar just for the purpose of tuning down...

...he needs an Axe FX (really the FX8)

Have you had any luck tuning up? I have been trying to get rid of my capo that I use for two songs on the second fret, but I cannot get a passable sound, when I try to use the pitch block to tune upwards :(

I haven't tried that.

Playing with an octave works perfectly. The latency is barely noticeable.

I am using the pitch block to tune up a 1/2 step. We tune down to Eb for the majority of our stuff, but there are a few songs the singer prefers in 440, so I have a separate bank of duplicate patches all tuned up a 1/2 step. Previously, I was using a Whammy DT for this purpose- no one has yet to comment it sounds any different than before, so I guess that means it's working. ;)
