Trem springs?

Had this problem on my brand new PRS Standard S2. Drove me crazy but it was pretty loud so it was easy to find.

I cut some round style laces for hiking boots and slid a piece in each spring and that solved it.

There's nothing better than sanitary pads for that.

A single cotton ball is enough to stuff 3 springs. Never have to think about it again.

I've used springs like that before and they worked fine. But, not better than just using some cotton.

I just shoved some cotton in the back and that fixed the issue. Thanks all!

Now if I can just get a pitch block that works as well as my drop pedal, I’ll be set for life!

Remove the middle trem spring, fold two or three sheets of toilet paper and slide evenly under the springs, add back the middle trem spring.

Always worked great for me.

It only occurs when I play the open low E string (regardless of tuning).
