Pete Thorn, Perplexed- Cover

Ok all axers it’s been some time since I posted anything. But now I do and it’s none less than the cover of Perplexed from guitar genie Pete Thorn.
He has a great pack at jamtrack central and he also explains some of his setup for the song as well.

So for this I wanted it to be as simple as Pete explained it. So I used the Euro Uber with a 4x12 75W stock cab a drive in front with a filter to kick a bit and rounded up with some reverb and a simple slap back delay.

I think it is a good rock sound I I do hope you like it as well :)

The filter is working as a boost pedal just before the amp block. Its a highpassfilter but it mainly just boost the out (level up to 13). It seems to tighten up things and gives the amp more to work with (= more gain).

Why dont you use the output level of the driveblock as the boost, and/or the possibillity to use the eq of the drive, to boost only certain freq. ?
 
Yes -there is lots of ways, to get the same result on the Axe :) I like to use the eq on the drive block, to find the sweet spot on the amp.
