Pedal in loop

Is it possible to use the send/return loop of the FM3 as a pedal loop of sorts? I.e. have an external effect pedal that is always on and can be switched in and out where needed in the chain via the loop block.

You can use Output 2 and Input 2.

The Send/Return are only for routing signal on the grid.
