Wish Peavey Triple X

I played my good old triple x few days ago. Amazing high gain sound and one of the most underrated amps of all time.

Underrated? By whom? As far as I know the ‘x’ series has always been appreciated widely.

Less underrated, more “most people who try one prefer 5150”. In the internet age, sleeper amps are way less of a thing.

This isnt to say the wish is invalid, just a reason it may not be implemented soon. Never say never

I think the consensus is beginning to change. But 10 years ago I recall many people thinking they're trash despite seeing established groups tour with them. I know I had this misconception for many years despite never playing one. It may depend on the circle you're in or the genre you listen to.

One of the biggest things with that amp I believe the amp eq was active so it was more like a cut and boost
I would figure a 6505 crunch / lead channel if you switched the tone stack to active may be able to put you in the ballpark

The JSX is the better version. IMO the XXX is way too compressed even on clean tones. I don't think I have disliked many tube amps more than the XXX.

The jsx is a modified classic with an extra channel from the triple x.
