if you can afford it I'd go with the Carvin TS-100. I wish i had one instead of my ARTsla2. it just has a little more balls and low end.I had a V300 with my POD HD500. I liked the amp alot. It did end up over heating and frying. It is a design flaw and Rock tron said it was about 2 in 10 that had the problem...Thats 20% and was too much for me so I didn't get another one. The problem is the way the wire for the fan has to go over the Heat sink to plug into the small fan circut board. there is an easy fix. It is a cool amp but I think I would go with the ART SLA2. the other problem I found with the Rocktron was it vents out the top so you have to leave a space above the unit (Not really a one space unit because of that). It is a great sounding amp though.
I am using a Carvin TS-100 and it screams. It is 5lbs heavier than the V300 but sounds a little better to me.
