Patches/Tones wanted - Andy James / Andy Timmons plus a help question \m/

I would love to know if any of you experts out there could help me and tone match or create patches patches/tones for an Andy James (Blackstar) and Andy Timmons (Mesa) lead and rhythm tones to help out a Axe Fx II newbie out.

PS - also without the Axe edit software available yet how do/can I backup/save the tones I have created so far? I'd love to share a Steve Vai-ish tone I have created!! I have the sysEx library program that I can upload but don't know how to save/backup files from my Axe Fx.

There are a few Andy Timmons presets floating around.....I like Fremen's one in his preset collection :

depending how your Axe is connected to your computer (midi or usb), just go to Utility/Preset and dump preset to midi or USB
of course you will have to have your sysex editor listening for the dump and after transfer just save to a .syx file

I downloaded and some of his patches don't have sound or have a synth something going on, what did I do wrong?

A lot of people use modifiers for volume and such-like in their presets and you have to manually alter them. Check out Fremen's blog for details of how he sets up his patches:
