Panning with the looper?

I tried a search, but could not find anything. If you know of a good post, please point me to it.

I'd like to setup a patch that separates a signal when the looper is engaged and playing. So to start the patch would be L+R. When a loop is recorded, on playback, the loop switches to hard Left and the 'live' moves to hard right.

Wondering if it's also possible to add an expression pedal to control the mix, so at a later point I could adjust the Left and Right sides to have a little of the loop and live sound as well.

I'd use a MIXER with separate expression or footswitch controllers.

You could possibly double up a MIDI CC# so it operates both looper PLAY and mixer PAN, but it would be quite tricky I think.

I described a couple methods in this other thread you started. Having play and an Ext Ctrl set to the same CC# is probably the easiest to understand & set up. Then your play switch also accomplishes the panning when you start or stop playback. A pedal could be used for just about any sort of additional mix/panning things.
