Ozzy Tribute #2 Showing some AX8 Love

Hey All!

I play in an Ozzy tribute called "I Don't Know" based out of Phoenix. Here's a little ditty from a show at Casino Del Sol in Tucson last week. AX8 running stereo direct to FoH. Just phone audio but it sounds pretty decent, especially with phones or decent speakers.

I've had the AX8 for almost a year now and am really loving it. Been lurking here for awhile now taking special interest in Mr. Bishop's videos :) and figured I should throw something out!

Another Great sounding Ozzy and band...excellent chops and tone, man.....is there an ax8based Ozzband in every southwestern city?..

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Here's the preset. I'm sure it could be setup better than I have done as I don't know all the ins and outs of the AX8 yet. My specific needs were a lot of gain and gapless switching so that what it is. Not meant to sound specifically like Tony, Randy, Jake or Zakk but works ok for all of them in a live setting.

I'm running EMGs and for the Sabbath stuff I roll back the volume and tone almost half way and use the neck position and it sounds pretty decent. All the Ozzy stuff stays on bridge pickup. The AX8 is set to unity gain which is all the way up and I go XLR direct to FoH, no cabs on stage. Just hearing myself in the stage wedges.

The preset has 3 scenes:

1 = Rhythm
2 = Lead (boost and delay)
3 = Clean

The clean is where I insure the gapless switching. Instead of and X/Y amp or amp + drive I use no amp...just direct on a separate grid row than the amp and cab. I'm sure the tone could be better if I used the amp+cab but for the live application it's not noticeable to the audience.

I have other presets for specific songs with specific effects like Over the Mountain octave lead, Believer with octave clean and Bark at the Moon with the phaser on the solo but they all use the same base scenes as these.

Thanks again for the cool welcome! Hope to post more vids soon!
Mike

BTW! This preset has an auto-engaged wah block and I've noticed a weird issue where if you don't connect an expression pedal, the wah will become engaged when changing presets which makes the scene sound weird if you don't notice it right away. If you don't use an expression wah, just delete or turn off that block.
