OwnHammer will charge but Red Wire will not?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but....I got an e-mail today from OwnHammer saying that I can "purchase" the Axe II .sys files as they are in a proprietary format? Is that true? I understand RedWire is upgrading no charge.
 
Looks that way.

Since RW provides the Axe-Fx version 1 SYX and the WAV files in each purchase, it would be weird to charge for version 2 files anyway, assuming (fairly safely) that the community gets an IR converter for version 2 files. Were I to buy into OwnHammer, I'd probably go for the raw WAV files for just that reason. Their limited-time discount seems good though, for those who don't have the WAVs to convert -- if I read it all right (http://forum.fractalaudio.com/amps-cabs/36322-ownhammer-axe-fx-ii-update.html), it's $10 for the new versions of everything when you have the old versions of everything (total $40 vs. all the WAVs @ $70).
