The very first update for Studio Standard has already arrived and brings with it the first of two planned expansions to the license authentication type allowances. If the Early Access period requirement of a USB stick was in your way, fret not, the path to the best sounding cab sim on the market is no longer obstructed!
For the early adopter Founders Edition members who have picked up the plugin prior to this email, a reward is coming exclusively to all you and only you beautiful people, more on that further down.
Things have been overwhelmingly hectic bringing this four-year project to a close, so to avoid any confusion by way of expositional oversight, below is the skinny straight from the horse's mouth on the licensing scheme developments and iLok update roadmap:
As very few would know and some may possibly comprehend, scaling and drastically altering the direction of a business are tremendous tasks. Accomplishing those goals while pointed to an international consumer market throughout a global health pandemic, historic inflation and global economic crisis, two high scale international military conflicts, and an international trade war are order of magnitude multipliers in the difficulty department. As very few would know and some may also possibly comprehend, doing that often requires financial business plan assistance, of which was incredibly stretched and strained far beyond the point of intense pain by the aforementioned exacerbators.
In order to make the final hard deadline of said obligations, May 30th, 2025 was the latest Studio Standard could be publicly released and still meet them without default. With any checklist of build items you have prioritization, and given that the discovery/build time was the lowest and our primary target audience of music production professionals also primarily use the USB authentication method due to its myriad of benefits in longevity and portability (among many others), this was the obvious first on the list. Machine authorization was almost completed on time, but it ultimately needed to get pushed to post launch, with the cloud version bringing up the rear and coming much later due to the amount of work and time still required to implement it.
While machine license activation deployment was at least another week or two worth of work, many wonderful and kind folks around us reached out and encouraged us with their love, excitement, and enthusiasm to help convince us to recklessly embody the phrase "no rest for the weary" and put in another 50 hours over the last 2.5 days, adding another long weekend to the end of another long week wrapping up another long month in the middle of another long year to get this out the door now rather than later so that more people can join in the immensely fun and peerless results in a recording environment that Studio Standard provides to all.

As aforementioned, cloud license activation is still in development and will be made available after being built and tested. Just like with this update, an announcement will be made at that time.

Ooooooh boy the things we have planned!

Later today we will be sending out an email only to you all to let you know how to update your existing license to include machine authorization and inform you that we may need to verify some information with some of you regarding your iLok account to make sure we can get this in your hands. Keep an eye out for that, it will be to you by day's end.
