some questions here.i'm playing the axe through a Carvin DCM1000 into 2 passive monitors with eminence delta pro's,and noticed that when i bump the AXE-FX output to 12:00 it gets really clear and defined.which is good,but is god awful loud.this is with the DCM up at 12:00.with output 1 lower than 12:00 not so refined,lows a little flubby,but can be fixed with EQ.
guess my question is,is it better to run the Carvin power amp high,and control the volume with the AXE-FX output 1 control,or run output 1 at 12:00 and control the volume with the Carvin power amp?i get the feeling these speakers like to be driven hard,the louder they get,the better.or is it the power amp that likes too see that hot signal from the AXE xlr output?
