Out 1 to Board and Out 2 to CLR?

Hi Guys.
Evening all.

About to receive the AX8.
Wondering how you guys use it.
I use a CLR as a cab.
CLR has jack (unbalanced) and XLR inputs.

It's a pity that AX8 doesn't have XLR outputs for OUT2.

How do you guys use it in this scenario?
OUT 1 left and right XLR to the mixer for stereo and OUT2 Jack from AX8 to CLR?
Does it really matter?

Also what kind of cable should I use from the AX8 to the CLR if I'm using OUT2 on the AX8?
A friend was telling me to get a TRS to XLR cable for the OUT2 on the AX8.
Does it matter? or a simple jack is enough?

I just use XLR from out 1 to desk, (left only, mono). I also use a CLR; I just use a guitar cable from out 2 to the CLR, or I just use whatever monitors are provided and don't bother with the CLR.

Do not use a TRS to XLR cable on out 2. Just use a regular guitar cable. The OUT 2 jack is a Humbuster and not wired for a regular TRS/XLR configuration.

I use TRS on out 2 to XLR and it works fine.

It may work, but it's certainly not optimal. You're going from an unbalanced with Humbuster to a balanced input. The CLR has combo connectors, there's no reason to not just use a regular guitar cable.

And what about a Humbuster (TRS-TS) vs normal Jack?

That's effectively what the output 2 is designed to use. So yes.
