Sorry for this being too long…but this is an idea I have run up against and would like to solve it. I have just moved and am not in any bands, and wanted to rethink how I have the axe setup before I get back in new band situations. I updated to firmware 14 and I am interested in a new layout and the potential use of the ultra res cabs. My previous grid layout had the pedals, amp, etc, with one line going to the effects loop block to go to FOH and another line going to a cab block. My stereo effects(delay and modulations) are parallel and BEFORE the cab. This means a couple of things…to have the stereo delays bounce correctly your cab has to be a stereo cab, a mono cab makes the delays mono. The ultra res is mono only right? Now it would be cool to have the cab BEFORE the delays and that would solve it but then those delays would not go to the effects loop for the FOH signal. I know some will recommend put another separate instance of the effects for the effects loop but I have been pushing the cpu too hard as it is! I hate to think I can't try those new cabs…alright specialists…fire away!
