All my guitars are out, on the wall or floor stands, ready to play.

Exception: If the humidity is low, I'll put the acoustics in their cases with Boveda humidity packs.

I am fortunate to have a music room where all the instruments can stay out.
It wasn't always like that for me, especially when the kids were young!
I've got 2, of these 5 place stands and some singles. Works great for me.

I keep 7-8 out (to play). The rest in cases, just so there is less clutter.

I keep those 7-8 in a room with humidity control (some high end acoustics), and they go back in their case if I think the humidity may change while I'm out.

Yeah, it can be hard to watch. So you try to find the humor in it. Sometimes, if I’m taking a nap, she’ll jump up in the pillow, stick her nose in my ear, and wake me up with that Darth Vader breathing. So I lift the covers, she crawls underneath, turns around, lies down, and rests her head on my shoulder. Then she’ll look up at me lovingly with that one eye... and sneeze a big goober in my face.
