Not your average Ebay auction

With the exchange rate, that would be approximately $490,931.51 CDN! Add another $88,367.67 CDN for duty, taxes and brokerage fees and the grand total would be...$579,299.18.

Do you think the seller would wave the $1,500.00 U.S. shipping fee and throw in free shipping?! :D

Yikes......I wonder if I can talk the wife into selling the house so I can buy another guitar.

I loved the answer more than the question!

The price is too high. It would have to be formerly owned by a celebrity accompanied by legit documentation / signed letter of authenticity to get that price.

Agreed...apparently he didn't see the episode of pawn stars where they had les Paul's wife's touring guitar, with all kinds of documentation, etc....and he paid somewhere around $90k

I cant stand stand collectors, drop the price of a really nice house to never touch the damn thing and keep it out of the hands of someone that would actually use it :unamused: sheesh you gotta pay for this dudes PLANE TICKET too?

Yep. It's been re-fretted with jumbo frets too. Collectors will likely turn their noses up at that. That's like putting modern 20" wheels and low profile tires on an all original '57 Chevy.

If it is worth the money, and I have absolutely no idea if it really is or isn't, it wouldn't surprise me if it were bought as an investment item for a hedge fund or pension fund. I have read that vintage cars and guitars seem to be more and more popular in this respect.
