Not Sorry..."Waiting For Tuner"

This is getting really frustrating. I've read every post about this...I've done exactly what everyone mentions to do..and I'm STILL getting the damn "waiting for tuner" message. Everything else is working perfectly.

I'm on 1.04 and using a CAT5 cable.
I've restored the MFC (holding down #11 on power up).
I made sure AXE FX MODE is set to "II".
"EXPANSION" is selected as the midi communication port.
FXII is on the TUNE (1st) page of the Tuner menu.
FXII "Send Realtime Sysex" is set to ALL.
FXII USB Adapter mode is set to OFF.

What else am I missing?! Have I mentioned I'm frustrated right now? lol

Yeah. I tried another CAT5 and same thing. I switched to MIDI cables (and switched from expansion to MIDI) and I get the name time out error.
 
I just picked up a standard and am experiencing similar situation. All my buttons are set up correctly but the tuner says waiting for tuner. I'm using 5 pin midi cables and a Midisport. I tried restore and have it set in Standard mode
 
Thought I'd refresh this post as I'm having the same issues with my Ultra after doing everything suggested on the forum. Thoughts?

Edited: besides the above, you may have to rest the confg on the Axe. I did this and it works perfectly!
