Noisegate Offset ?

hi, i'm dont have a very clear idea of what this does, let me know if i'm right or wrong

Noise offset:

offset to 0.00db = will not take effect on presets, wont change them?

offset to -40 = will lower the input noise gate of all presets reducing additional -40 db on threshold ?? if a preset noisegate threshold is -60, adjusting -40 on offset will make = -100 threshold?

higher the value it adds witht he threshold ? or how does this work? i read lots of threads but they dont seem to clarify this

Correct. It adds or subtracts the amount of Offset, globally affecting all presets.
