No More EF86 Tube?

I don't see the EF86 tube, anymore; not sure when it went away. I "thought" it was there before the FW 19.0 update.

The Morgan AC20 and Dr Z Rt 66 used it, I think. Maybe the Hot Cat, too?
 
EF86 is a preamp tube, which is built into the preamp models. It is not a poweramp tube which can be selected in the amp model.
 
Aha - you are absolutely correct. I had a brain freeze moment. That's what happens when you practice too long into the wee early hours of the night.

That's one of the things I love the most in the Axe pre section. A completely quiet EF86 emulation.
I have had several VOX and Matchless amps. And getting a tube that is completely noice-less is a lot of work.
And the best Telefunken E806F (Used in the old Neumann mikes) is being scarse ... and horribly expensive.
 
Tell me about it! Not only are they expensive, but it's a crap-shoot if they'll sound good, or be horribly noisy & microphonic.

I don't currently have an EF86 amp, but the last few I've had were a little pricey to re-tube.
