No audio Axe FX II XL+ on Mac OSX Mojave

I am running a usb cable from the Axe FX to a MacBook Air and I don’t get any sound from either GarageBand or logic.

Steps I have taken:

- installed latest firmware for axe fx and usb drivers (btw axe edit works just fine to modify patches).
- configured input in system preferences and on the DAWs to axe fx
- reinstalled usb drivers
- restarted the computer and axe fx
- adjusted every preset in I/O menu and made sure USB volume at 0.0 dB

There’s sound from the axe fx via front facing headphone jack but I don’t get a damn thing when I try to record from instrument input into a DAW.

Your trying to play sound out of you laptop speakers?

Just trying to record axe into a DAW, hearing through speakers is an after thought.

You have to enable ins and outs in Mohave preferences Security and Privacy.
