NL212 or NL12 with traditional valve amp

I am considering picking up one of these for my Axe for when I am not using my CLR.
I could justify it more if it sounded great with traditional amps as well.
Has anyone tried one of these with their amps?

My assumption is that if the Axe sounds good thru it, and the Axe simulates real amps so well, that
it would obviously sound good.

I would love to hear from other users.

It also works well as an extension cab for you combo.
