Never owned one this old! My third custom 22.

1997 custom 22 in scarlet red. The birds were an upcharge and I think the trem was an option vs stock. Mostly stock and at my techs for a cleanup and the tone control returned to stock. 8.5lbs. Case looks its age lol.

My tech said it may be a braz board as some left the factory with them after the move (he has a 92).

Uh. That's real real real nice.

Did someone install the sweet switch on it? And remove the rotary?

Previous owner did. I would change the rotary to 3-way too (did on my other two iirc). He was guitarist/vocalist and wanted coil splits without looking down. Curious to hear the HFS, didnt know it’s a ceramic til today. Thought they may be dragon ii but those were covered. He will pull and confirm.

Not a 10-top but nice figure. I’ll get proper photos once it’s back.

Nice!

I never liked the HFS I put one in a CU 22 I had years ago, to high of an output and rather dull sounding unless you ran it through a really bright amp, If I'm not mistaking the Dragons are pretty hot but are brighter sounding.

I think they may measure hotter but tonally seem to be in the “med output PAF” region. I’ll make an a/b with the CE24 over the weekend.
