NGD: Fender American Performer Telecaster.

I had been test-driving this for weeks at the local shop. My 85-year-old father bought it for me for Christmas. The entire family is pictured at the bottom.

Yes, I'm really liking this performer with the jumbo frets.
I've never bonded with Teles but this one feels different in a great way with modern C neck profile.

I had a 2010 American Deluxe with Fender noiseless that sounded great. I imagine they've only improved since then.

Actually, this guitar was used, but very well pampered by the original owner. He also had the original 'Yosemite' pickups swapped out for the noiseless. They do sound great.

I also took out the yosemite and put in Kinman e69 impersonator set

Since I've never heard the yosemite pickups, I don't know what they're like.
Did you just not like them or did you already have the Kinman set in mind?

It's not that i hated them or anything but at the same time wasn't overly inspired by the tone. I think it was @Burgs who put the kinman's on my radar from some of his Youtube vids
