Holy moly that is STUNNING! It’s so hard to believe that and the Flying V were first released in the 1950s.

the late 50s were booming with design and America's fascination with Australia...the V is a boomerang...the explorer body is a bow tie the neck is a boomerang...Futura headstock is an art pallet/boomerang and the body is a bowtie ... it is fascinating that these shapes are still so popular today. Also of note is the craftsmanship involved in making the headstock structurally sound on the Explorer.
