So when I got back to playing guitar I bought my brother a Piano black and Gold limited Japan Tele for reasons I won’t go into here, and I always wanted a tele. I went to the store here and checked out some guitars and left with Gretsch, but this one was hung on the wall in a hard case with a glass front, I cast more than a few eyes it’s way!
Today, I was on the edge of buying a second hand guitar and my wife said “don’t you want something new you can play before you buy? Let’s go to the store”
Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I hastily agreed! I played a beautiful figured maple too tele (MIJ) with 4 way switching but again this was staring at me through the same glass too hard case. I told my wife it’s more than I wanted to spend and the reply….. “the difference isn’t that much, get it”
So here it is, an axe to keep my playing honest… both the wife and this guitar are keepers!
All my other axes are PRS Humbuckers, Core, SE, P90, The Gretsch and now this beauty… Happy weekend.
