Hi everybody,
I’ve had the FM3 for a week now and I’m very pleased with its sounds and flexibility.
I wanted to control the Looper and change sounds at the same time, with one button press.
For example, once I finish recording a loop, I want to start playing it and change sound from rhythm to lead.
First I tried sending two MIDI CCs from one switch on the Nektar Pacer(change Scene and control Looper), and that worked, but the Pacer is huge…
Finally I found out that the FM3 MIDI Block can send multiple MIDI commands on scene change, and if I connect MIDI OUT to MIDI IN, it sends them to itself!
So for example I start on Scene 1, assign Pedal 1 Tap to Looper RECORD. In Scene 2, with the MIDI Block I send CC81 which I mapped to Looper PLAY/STOP, and assign Pedal 2 to Set Scene 2.
Done!
So now I can do what I wanted with just the FM3. And I keep my pedals to a minimum (double switch and expression pedal)
Anybody else using loops, need this behaviour, has any other solution?
Cheers,
Fabio
