The new FW says it has this with impedance curve. Does it mean we can use the FM9 as a load box like the Ox/Captor? I am in the market for a captor X so this would be great but need more info.
No, you can't use the FM9 as a load box. It doesn't have the HW required to dissipate the power. The impedance curve is about what the amp model sees as a virtual load, and responds tonally to.
No. Speakers provide natural resistance that is vital to the circuit. The OX and the Captor physically provide resistance to the amp similar to a speaker. The FM9 will not provide any meaningful physical resistance. Without that resistance, you will cook your output transformer, and need amp repairs.
