New heavy/rock project

I've been doing Threat Signal and Nociceptor for 5-6 years now, so I thought I'd try something different with this project. I'm going for a heavy rock/radio rock kind of vibe, and there will be primarily clean vocals.

I've never written this style of music before, so let me know if this is an epic fail haha.

I'm using the Axe-fx II, and a tone match of the intro from Petrucci's song "Damage Control". I'm using a seven string on this in Bb, but primarily stay on the top six strings so the song is mostly in Eb.

Sounds that you have good song coming there!
I think you should lower that bass drum in the mix since it´s coming through very loud.

that's one of my favorite tones, I'd like to see how similar yours came out compared to what I got.
what are you using for a 7 (pickups etc)

Sure! I'll see if I can get the time to post it today.

I'm using an Ibanez RG7420 with a DiMarzios. A Blaze in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck.
