Planning my studio/live rig and want to make sure this works:
axe fx connected via USB to Mac mini running logic for production, ableton for live.
- tracking - 2 outs wet + 2 DI outs for reamping into the axe during mix incase I want to alter the tone
- performing - axe sync'd today ableton for tempo and preset changes via midi commands - also routed through ableton for live fx and mixed with backing tracks before being sent to the front of house
- all audio sent to studio monitors, headphones/in ear monitors live/and to front of house via a separate DAC/USB interface (Dangerous Source)
- analog outputs 1 of axe fx sent to powered FRFR or power amp and passive FRFR speakers for feedback, stage bolume, monitoring (only on occasion, for the most part will be monitored just through IEMs live).
- analog outputs 2 send to input 2 for some external pedals in the FX loop.
I understand that to use the fractal via USB everything needs to run at 48K. Not sure if there needs to be any kind of syncing done between the Dangerous Source DAC and the Fractal? Will there be any latency? Does my plan work or will there be any issues?
