Need help to identify *this* version of Mustang Sally

Hey y'all, I stumbled on this truncated and unidentified version of Mustang Sally and need the collective wisdom of this great community to try and identify who it is, and where I can get the full recording. Mystery version of Mustang Sally

A friend thought it was Huey Lewis (hmm, not convinced), and the vocals sound a little like David Lee Roth (but not quite).
(edit: Shazam is no help)

Any ideas? Thanks!

Vocal and guitar both don't sound like Huey Lewis to me.
Doesn't sound like DLR either.
Shazam doesn't know, me neither.

Reminds me of Late Night with David Letterman. Could it be Paul Shaffer and the world's most dangerous band.
I know they used to play that song during commercial breaks. Also, DLR has been on the show many times....
