Hi guys!

New demo/work in progress-material for my project called Near. All guitar and bass tracks are recorded with the Axe-Fx II (FW 4.01). I'd love if you guys would check it out and give me some feedback!

If there are any good vocalists out there who would like to track some vocals over it, I'd LOVE to hear it!

Also, feel free to download it if you want to - Soundcloud's terrible streaming quality of 128kbps mp3 really degrades the track, especially the cymbals..

 
The other tracks you have on soundcloud is much more interresting to me. This one at this stage doesn't really take me anywere far.

Nevertheless the best parts to me is the more still and static ones. Feels like waiting.

When the distorted guitar kicks in it at 0:59... I guess I don't really like the sound but even more that it feels like the other parts were allready recorded. The melodic lines doesn't get elevated. Could be more affected by what is happening. It feels to lifeless in the more heavy parts. Not so in the quiter parts, there it fits. Of course that could sometimes be a interresting contrast but I don't feel that way here.

All and all it still feels a bit simplistic and not so fräckt even if the guitar is heavy. Sorry
