This clip doesn't use IR's and neither does the first riff in that real cab vs IR's clip, in which the microphone was placed. In this EVH clip I just put the mic somewhere and didn't even take a listen to it. It's the same cab and same speaker. The difference is probably like 2-3cm on the mic. So yeah.. that should tell how much of a difference the mic position has on the sound.
