say I have this preset:
row 1: Phaser
row 2: Flanger
row 3: In1 -> amp >cab > out1
Lastly, Phaser and Chorus are wired in parallel just before the Amp block.
One way to select Phaser versus Flanger is to use a Multiplexer block before the amp and have two scenes that select channel A or B of the Multiplexer, itself set so that Channel A uses Row1 and Channel B uses row 2. This appears to be the recommended way of doing this.
But how about more simply having my scenes to turn on or off the FX block that I want to use or mute? As long as I set the Bypass mode to be Mute (and not Thru), then I should get the same result.
So for this use case of FX blocks in parallel, what does a Multiplexer do that cannot be done without it as described above?
