As a bass guitar player I'm always looking for a way to compress the low end and at the same time get some grit to the upper frequencies. Inspired by a VST plugin I've bought recently, I'd like to have a distortion parameter in addition to the gain control in the mid and high band of the multiband compressor. The lower band is fine as it is (only compression).
To save CPU, maybe the distortion for mid and high could be switched on and off.
