I'm away from my studio for a few days so after a search of the forums I thought I would ask here.
There are times when I have the sound I want with FX but want to also have a dry version so I can use DAW plugin FX later. I know I can record the DI and reamp but I thought this could save some steps and simplify recording.
Can I set up a patch to record the full signal chain to one stereo track in my DAW, and another that sends Amp/Cab signal (before time-based FX like delay, reverb) to a different track?
Is it as easy as this?:
A. Full signal chain > Output 1 > DAW 1&2
B. mult output from Cab > Output 2 > DAW 3&4?
Thanks for your help!
Edit: I'm reading the manual but I'm unclear about it and can't test it without the gear.
