Implemented Mu-Tron III and Octave Divider

If someone wants to send me a Mutron III, I'll nail it down.

My best friends dad was the founder of Mu-Tron, and they gave us the Bi-Phaser that's modeled in our products, but believe it or not they did not have any of the filter products left in the archive after all these years -- and my friend is a bass player!
Is there a way to have the bi-phase in series? Zappa used to have Phaser B wired into Phaser A for the Black Napkins tone, creating a 12 stage Phaser in mono with a synced LFO.

I wanted to revive this thread with the hopes that a bonafide Mu-Tron III model makes its way into the final release of the v8 firmware.

The Tone Master Pro recently added this effect, and now Doug B has done a demo of it here:

Fender did indeed capture at least some of that magic that ONLY exists inside a good 'ol Mu-Tron III. Sure, we'd all tweak this effect differently, but I can tell by how the envelope is responding to Doug's specific playing style in the video along with my extensive experience playing through a real unit that it is a pretty faithful execution. Very vowel-y, and a bit more authentic (I think) than even some of the better-executed automations of a wah or filter in Fractal world.

Knowing this device has already been measured by Fractal, I have confidence that this effect could be arriving soon, and that it will be most excellent. I'm hear by making another push for this to make it into the official v8 release!

Hell ya! We want the Mutron @FractalAudio pretty please and thank you. The competition beat FAS to it but the FAS Mutron will be more betterer.

I will agree that at least for the Jerry sound, it is lacking, however it’s very much because of the guitar tone and attack, which is not as nuanced as what Jerry would do (this is not a knock on Doug by any means. Nobody played like Jerry). HOWEVER, the envelope does react in a different way than from what I’ve heard from Fractal. I believe Fractal could do at least as good a job with a proper Mu-Tron presentation, and very likely markedly better. If you can’t hear the difference, that’s OK. There are those here who do.

I don’t know what a “bog” envelope filter is, but if Fractal wants to model that (in addition to the Mu-Tron), by all means do it!

I respectfully disagree, and counter with this:

and this:

Leon's sound is great, but as an envelope filter it does the job - but that's it. There is something indisputably unique about the Mu-Tron III for envelope filter aficionados, and it's missing here.

Fractal takes such care in providing many, many overdrives with often subtle differences between them. It's that level of authenticity and detail that sets Fractal apart from all others. I don't accept that Leon's clip is as good as a Mu-Tron can or should get in the Fractal world.

Latest beta release has a Envelope Filter based on the Mu-Tron (27.00 beta 7). (~);}

My original ‘wish’ and why I started this thread was for the Mu-Tron III envelope filter. That is what they just released with the new firmware.

I get that, my original comment was about the Bi-Phase, in response to other statements here.
Very happy about the Mutron III

Oh, I see. The Mutated Twin-Phase is based on the Bi-Phase but I’ve never used a real Bi-Phase so I don’t have a good basis of comparison.
