Bug? modifier animation

it appears that the modifier animation only appears to work in presets that I created earlier than 12.02 [that I know of]

when I apply a new modifier now, I no longer see the yellow dot move along the graph line
 
ahhh… saved the preset, changed preset and changed back and now I can see it working ok

I'm not sure if this is actually a bug now or just a momentary glitch I experienced..
