Hey i have read up on axe wiki the graphic or parametric eq settings, I have also read alot of you guys don't think they are correct. If you guys could share your graphic or parametric eq setttings to emulate that amp i would appreciate it. Another question i have is should i put these eq blocks before the amp. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I like to consider myself as the one who has been tweaking this the most in the world. At least I'm in the top 3! :D Okay here goes...

Think of the USA LEAD (I prefer the "1") as the lead channel on the Mark V in the Mark IV position. You can have more bass than on the Mark IV because it's not going to flub. So... you can dial in more bass from the AMP. The way I see this is that this is the setting people are going for:

Now... that setting is symmetric on both sides of the 750hz and I don't know if it's a mental thing but when I owned my Mark IV everything sounded better when it was symmetric on the sides of 750hz. NOW! You only need a PEQ after the amp and you don't have to use more than one parameter to scoop the USA SIM. Put it at 750hz and use 0.707Q. A wider Q will give you the effect of 240hz and 2200hz being slightly lower too. You can scoop all you want but -5.95dB is the sweetspot for me. You can scoop more but it's not going to cut in a mix after that.

Use the Recto 2 cab for this or Redwirez MESA SM57 Cone 0in. The Mark IV is a tight amp and unlike you'd imagine it doesn't have that much lows so cut those lows with the global EQ. You don't need them in any patch. I promise you. 63hz fully off. 125hz at -6dB and 250hz at -10dB. Try it before you judge. :D
