Mission Sp-1 with MFC and AXE FX II - How to setup?

Dear Axe Experts,

Is there a step by step available for setting up the AXE II with a Mission SP-1 into an MFC? The II's wah setup seems a little different than the Ultra's. I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere.

Thanks in advance for any help or links!

I realize it is 14 years later but did you ever get an answer to this?
Here it is 2025 and I am still not getting this pedal setup correctly.
I used the G66 video to get me going but it must have left something out.
I spent $200 on this SP1 pedal and can't use it. I would appreciate any help with this.

The OP hasn't been here in over 2 years...

Are you using TRS for both the expression and switch jacks? From what I remember, that's a requirement with SP-1.

If I follow the G66 setup, the volume pedal works as it should.
The switch turn on the wah, but when I rock the pedal back and
forth, it is turning the wah volume up and down.

Then you've incorrectly assigned a modifier on the Wah block Level control...

Sorry Paranoid, I'm not following you.
In order for the pedal to control the Wah, you need to assign it as a modifier to the Control parameter of the Wah block.

It sounds like you assigned it as a modifier to the Level parameter instead of the Control parameter.

In the wah block what is assigned to the control. You have external 1 set to bypass the wah. I am assuming ext 1 is connected to the sp-1 switch. What external is the pedal assigned to? This needs to be connected to control, in the wah block.

If you download the manual, wah set up starts on page 179. Mfc101 wah set up on page 180. Not an sp-1 set up, but it may help.

This is what my modifier is set to. I don't see anywhere Level and Control.

Modifiers are assigned to block parameters.

Notice at the top it says "Wahwah 1 - Bypass Mode"

That means this modifier is assigned to the Bypass Mode parameter of the Wah block.

You need to remove this assignment.

You need to assign the modifier to the Control parameter of the Wah block.

Post a screenshot of the Wah block settings.

Wow! I tried to follow the manual and some how screwed up everything.
Now the pedal does nothing. I tried to start with the G66 video again and
get back to where I was but the pedal isn't doing anything.

The video from G66 should make everything work.
I also remember @chris had a great video of setting up a mission SP-1 some years ago.

I remember Chris from many years ago. Axe FX Tutorials was his site. I had the same issue
with my first Axe Fx and I believe he got me thru it. He only has a few videos now and mostly
new stuff.

So after following the instructions I noticed that the dot on the Axe Fx is not moving
when I try the pedal. I have followed these instructions twice and still nothing works
on the pedal.

Make sure which CC# you've assigned to the pedal jack on the MFC.

Make sure that same CC# is the one you're using in the Axe Fx.

Make sure you're using the correct pedal jack on the MFC.
