Mission pedal wah off?

So I have a Mission EP1. No spring option so it just lays where I leave it.

I have auto eng on for the wah block however, when I'm done moving he pedal, the effect stays on. So if I leave the pedal toe down, it's a trebly tone. If left heel down, it's more low end.

How do I get it to turn off automatically?

what happens when you go into edit menu and change bypass mode to mute?

change the auto-engage to one of the movement options instead of position.

If you haven't already done so, calibrate the pedal.

And play around with the "Off Val" setting. A setting of 5% should disengage the wah when heel down.

so I set the off val to 5% and it does turn off with heel down. is there a way to get it bypass whenever I stop using it (no matter what position it is in)? this pedal doesn't have a spring return so I don't want to accidentally leave the wah engaged

How would it know when you are done?
