MidiMate phantom power issue

Trying to get my old MidiMate board up and running while I wait for the Fractal pedalboard.

I have a 7 pin midi cable running Axe-FX > MidiMate, and am trying to use a VoodooLab Pedal Power 2 to send power. If I plug the PP2 directly into the MidiMate, it gets power and all is well. If I plug the PP2 into the back of the Axe, nuttin'.

Is there something I am missing or is it just a cable issue (it's a brand new www.guitarcable.com cable)

I had the same problem and called Rocktron.

The power supply input has a small switch that disconnects the phantom power from the midi cable to prevent the power supply AND phantom power from being used at the same time. Evidently, this switch gets stuck, and the midimate thinks the power supply is plugged in. Look for a small tab on the inner portion of the power supply jack and use something small to pry it back up and the phantom power should be good to go!
