MIDI Light always on

Hey All,

I recently bought a Tech 21 Mongoose to use as a MIDI controller to quickly change my presets. A couple of days ago I noticed that the MIDI IN light is always on and I am no longer able to change the presets via my controller. I am running Beta 2.

Any thoughts?
 
Try a different midi cable? Make sure you plug it in correctly... I've had a few devices where it was possible to easily mis-align the pins in the DIN port.

The jack and cable should both have a notch/nub that makes it really hard but not always.
 
Were you powering the Tech 21 Mongoose via midi cable phantom power? Or battery/power supply?
 
Ok, there was a discussion a few day ago about MIDI Out Voltage/Power on FM3 being too much for some peripherals which relied on power from FM3’s MIDI Out connector.

I think it was WIDI Bluetooth remote MIDI, being overheated
Thought it might have something to do with your issue.

Also if you connect FM3 with Your computer using USB cable, your MIDI light would stay on.
 
Solved. I had multiple issues going on....
MIDI channel had been change to 5, so it wasn't communicating with the FM3 that was set to 1
I did have the USB cable in so the MIDI light was always on.
