MIDI conventions for block/ scene/ preset selection?

Hi, I am just starting to program an FCB1010 for control of the Axe & wondered if there are any conventions for which cc numbers to use for various things?

I have tried to fathom this out from the manual & there are clues...eg scene select example is #34 plus 0-7 for each one. Are there others that are "standard"?

Does it matter or am I being overly cautious?
 
doesn't matter. If it makes you feel better, you can check the axe fx II manual where all the midi selection was fixed and copy the same for the III.
