MFC MIDI mayhem

I am experiencing a strange phenomenon. I am controlling a Roland GR-30 guitar synth and an Axe FXII with my MFC-101 (mark 1). I am using Cat 5 to power and send info to and from the MFC from the AxeFXII.

I have MIDI out of the Axe connected to MIDI in of the Roland. I am able to program the MFC to do what I require, HOWEVER, everytime I exit out of edit on the MFC all the lights on the MFC flick on and off and nothing functions...UNTIL ...I toggle MIDI thru on the AxeFXII off and then on again.

I have to repeat the toggle process everytime I reboot the system and anytime I switch presets. It is unusable.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I solved it. The GR-30 had a conflict and 2 sources were controlling one thing. I had to defeat the program volume on the GR-30. There are still issues with the MFC though. I think I'm going to switch to a different controller. Too many issues.
