MFC Mark III Blank Screen

Got my MFC a few weeks ago. Tonight I made a backup that went fine, then setup to do a firmware upgrade. When I powered up with the AC adaptor holding switch 1 down to go into firmware update mode, the screen came up blank. Let it sit for about five minutes but no change, backlight was on but no characters. Cycled power several times but still blank. Then tried to power up with ethernet but still blank. I also tried to do a factory reset with no luck.

I saw a few other posts where people had a similar problem. Has anyone resolved this problem?

I shipped my MFC to FAS on a Friday and had it back the following Friday. Thank you FAS for the quick turn-around and communication keeping me up to date.
