MFC-edit update fails to download

When I download it tries to download the file to location null. I cannot find anywhere to change this location. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Help->Reset Everything and immediately exit and relaunch.
Which Windows version are you running? And is it 64-bit or 32-bit?
 
I am on windows 10 64 bit and my help menu does not have that option. It is an old version that I got off a backup after losing my hard drive. It is MFC-edit 2.5. I am trying to rebuild everything and this is the latest version I could find on backup to install from. Fortunately I also still have my key.

Okay, that's pretty old. Open a support ticket (support@fractalaudio.com) and I'll send you instructions on how to get the new version and resolve that problem.
