mfc 101 issues??

My guitar player got an axe fx2 and an mfc 101 yeaterday, and we go to turn it on and nothng but a blank screen on the MFC 101. When we try to setup the port, it looks like this )))))))))))) then. It still switching on the axe fx unit itself, some signal is being sent. Anyone know what the problem could be??

Try restoring the board
Hold down switch 11 while the board is powering up
You will be prompted to finish restoring

And try another CAT cable that works with another set-up.
