Metheny tones?

Anyone working on Metheny tones? i was thinking "have you heard", or something from his days with the bigger groups.

It's "easy"..... the tone is in the guitar and the fingers:
Gibson ES-175, flatwound strings into a clean amp.

Actually he stopped using amps 15 years ago, everything goes into a
Digitech 2101 GSP pre amp, then to the house PA.
Also the way he holds the guitar pick has a "warm mellow" effect on the tone.
He picks the strings with the round corner of the pick, not the point.

Yup, I knew about the pick thing,but i was interested in his reverb settings and stuff like that. You are right, he could probably sound great with a cigar box strung with rubber bands.
