Mesa Recto 4x12 SRF?

Hey there,

I'm using a Standard-->Art SLA2-->Mesa Standard Recto 4x12 Straight Cab setup.

I have tried the 'filter sweeping whilst chugga chugging' test to no avail...

Can anybody shed some light as to where I should set the Speaker Resonant Frequency in the amp's advanced section with my setup? It's currently set at 110hz.

Wow, drastically different! I will try that as soon as the neighbours are awake and feedback. Cheers bud. How did you arrive at that number? Experimentation or documentation?
 
I was actually looking for a 4-2x12 cab with v30s and there was a framus dragon for sale and in the specs it mentioned that the SRF was 75 Hz and from then on, I've used my patches with that setting :) that and I did fiddle around with it
 
75hz seems to sit well. Cheers bud.

As a side: I occasionally clip my SLA2 with palm mutes, the audible effect isn't distortion, but rather a speaker fart. Doesn't seem to be a level issue, but rather a bass energy thing. The tone sounds healthy until I chug a particular chord (ATM a G powerchord).

Any thoughts?
